We are excited to reveal that street artist Mau Mau will be in the gallery on Saturday 1 June to sign copies of his new book Talking Out of My Art, which captures 30 years of street art counter culture.

Mau Mau was a peer of Banksy in the UK street art scene which emerged in the 1990s. Over the past 30 years he has used his artistic skills to highlight cultural themes such as opposition to the Iraq War, the refugee crisis and climate change to social issues like affordable housing, social media, and the gentrification of London’s clubland. Talking Out Of My Art is a testament to Mau Mau’s unwavering commitment to using art as a tool for expression and activism.

Mau Mau is also running a Street Art Workshop at the gallery from 11am-1pm on the same day. The book signing will take place at 3pm-4pm.
