Story Tiles

Shut out the noise of the outside world and tune into your soul! Under the instruction of experienced educator and ceramicist Jam Westwood, learn how to make a piece of personalised clay tile art with explorative decoration - preserving a little piece of your ‘inside world’, forever! With a focus on words, stories numbers and symbols which directly link to you, you will create a tile which is a truly personal and unique work of art. Over the half day session you will learn how to handle and roll clay tiles, how to sgraffito and print onto clay surfaces with slips and underglazes and how to fix 3D features to your 12x12 ceramic tile design. This is a fun, relaxed workshop, suitable for all abilities.

No experience necessary. Pieces will be fired and simply glazed afterwards.
