Develop observational watercolour and sketching skills while discovering the magic of rockpools, with expert Warren Collum.
During this workshop, Warren will share his insights on how to effectively observe and record the colors, shapes, and patterns of the marine life using watercolor techniques. You will learn to work quickly and confidently, capturing the fleeting beauty of the tide pools in real-time.
Warren will guide you through the process of creating your own unique watercolor sketches of the rockpool environment, providing tips and techniques on composition, color mixing, and brushwork. You will learn how to use light and shadow to create depth and texture, and how to capture the movement and personality of the creatures you encounter.

What to bring
After an initial introduction at the Visitor Centre, you will be based outside much of the day (whatever the weather!) Please wear comfy shoes and clothes appropriate for the weather conditions on the day.
Car parking
This workshop is organised by the Burton Art Gallery and Museum, but will take place at Northam Burrows Visitor Centre, and inludes the cost of the car park there.

Workshops cancelled with under 48 hours' notice are non-refundable.
