This workshop is a wonderful introduction to basketmaking. Learn how to make a small basket using a variety of barked and stripped willow. Your basket can be used for (although not limited to) foraging, berry picking, and egg collecting. You will learn the traditional techniques of stake and strand basketry – making a base, inserting stakes, weaving a 3-rod wale, a trac border, and inserting a handle.
You may want to bring an apron, although it’s not essential. All tools will be provided.
