Mau Mau at work

Learn to design and paint street art and murals at this two-hour workshop. You will learn how to compose ideas and use spray paint to create artworks that stand out and reflect your own unique style.

Street artist Mau Mau was a peer of Banksy in the UK street art scene which emerged in the 1990s. Over the past 30 years he has used his artistic skills to highlight cultural themes such as opposition to the Iraq War, the refugee crisis and climate change to social issues like affordable housing, social media, and the gentrification of London’s clubland.

The workshop will be followed by the launch of Mau Mau’s book Talking Out Of My Art in the gallery (3pm-4pm).
