Project Description

If your photography has blossomed and you have progressed from a phone to a “real” camera, you will need to store your images somewhere and learn how to edit them.  Adobe Lightroom Classic is the leading photo organiser and editing software for aspiring ammeters and professionals alike. Lightroom Classic is modestly priced (£10/month) and easy to use but most of all, it allows you to manage collections of images with ease.  It can be used stand-alone or as a part of Adobe’s growing mobile system to allow sharing and editing on-the-run and a way to integrate your phone images.

Despite its ease of use, getting started with any new program can be daunting.  So why not make it easy by joining Adrian for a day packed full of help and advice.  Adrian will help you tune your system ready for the thousands of pictures you will be loading and editing over the years to come.  By the end of the day you will be confidently importing/exporting images and performing a wide range of image adjustments, helping you make the very best of your images. Give yourself the focused time you need to get to grips with the basics and gain confidence with your computer.

This workshop is designed for beginners to Lightroom Classic and self-taught intermediates struggling to make progress or wanting to gain a deeper understanding. You will be working in a small group, with plenty of ‘hand-holding’ with one of the best teachers in the business.

You will need to bring your own computer (laptop or desktop) loaded with Adobe Lightroom Classic.  If you don’t own Lightroom, you can download a 7-day trial a few days ahead of the workshop.  Adrian will provide you with sample images or you can use your own.

The workshop will be held upstairs at the Burton Gallery in Bideford.  The group size is limited to 8 places to ensure plenty of help and support. You will receive a detailed printed workbook so you don’t have to write anything down but it is also a great place to take extra notes.  All the sample images will be provided on the day.

There will be tea & coffee throughout the day.  We will have a short break for lunch (lunch is not included) where you can choose to work through with your own packed lunch or take advantage of the cafe.

Your tutor – Adrian Beasley is an Adobe Certified Expert, one of the few in the UK.  Adrian teaches for many of the leading photographic companies all over the UK.  Adrian lives in North Devon and in association with the Burton Gallery we are able to provide this workshop directly to you at half the usual price.
