Introduction to Your Digital Camera

This one-day workshop will allow you to learn about the basics of photography and the controls of your digital camera. Aimed at a beginner level, but with time and space for people of all levels of experience, this workshop will cover basic exposure controls on your camera and how to control elements such as depth of field and other important image properties.

We will also talk about angles and composition and how to take your photography to the next level.

Who is this workshop for?

A workshop for adults, Children aged  12+ can also attend with an adult.

Suitable for all abilities

What you need to bring

All you need to bring is your own working digital camera and an enthusiasm to try out some new ideas. You are welcome to bring some examples of your own images along so we can talk about how to develop your approach, but this is not essential.

Car parking

This workshop takes place at the Burton Art Gallery and Museum. We are situated on the edge of Victoria Park in Bideford, next to a Torridge District Council owned car park where charges apply. For more details on parking in Bideford, visit the Torridge District Council website.

Workshops cancelled with under 48 hours’ notice are non-refundable. An Eventbrite admin fee will be automatically deducted for workshops cancelled with more than 48 hours’ notice.
