Celia Merrill
Celia MerrillCompany Secretary and Trustee Administrator
Celia was delighted join the Burton team in April 2016 to support the Trustees. The art of linguistic mischief has helped her through a wealth of written work and she has applied her innate tendency to get her ducks in a row in many former professional and voluntary roles: as a Registered Nurse; Nutritional Therapist; Director & Company Secretary of a procurement consultancy; Secretary to Read Easy (Bideford & Great Torrington branch) and as a Trustee and Chair of Appledore Book Festival. As a mature student (and proud of her NUS card) Celia qualified with the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and provides administrative support to others locally, including her village church hall. Celia has long had a love of the Arts and nature. Devon life is her muse; poems and prose have been known to pour forth spontaneously. She enjoys dancing and gardening, but has yet to learn to paint.
