May News Bites from the Burton

Wrap the Burton in Bunting, 21st May - Our attempt to break a World Record for the Longest Line in Bunting to celebrate the Olympic Torch coming to Bideford. The flame should be coming through Bideford at approx 10am. The Burton and Cafe du Parc will be open from 9.30am. All our beautifully made bunting will be on display when the flame comes through - fingers crossed for the weather! So after you've seen the flame come and see the all the hard work put in by local schools and art groups in our attempt to break this world record. Jerwood Talk and Tour, 8th June, 7pm - Great news! Cafe du Parc will also be open for this event serving Tapas. At £10 per person it's a great way to spend a Friday evening, plus throw in abit of culture and join Paul Thomas on an informal Talk and Tour of the Jerwood Drawing Prize 2011 exhibition. Book your tapas for either 6pm or 8pm to make sure you join Paul's talk at 7.15pm. To make reservations for Tapas and RSVP for the Talk and Tour either contact the Burton or Cafe du Parc direct.

Due to it's popularity, Rowena Lights Workshop, Using Your Sewing Machine to Draw, will be repeated on 7th July - book in the normal way

Don't forget - Karen Hawkins Life Drawing  workshop on the 26th May and Paul Thomas "Big" Drawing workshop on the 9th June.
