Friends of the Burton Art Gallery & Museum

The gallery relies on the dedication, hard work and enthusiasm of the Association of Friends. The Friends support and enhance our work with funding from social and educational events and encourage every age group to visit and make the most of all the gallery has to offer. Why not join this special group of like-minded people and enjoy invitations to private previews of major exhibitions and be the first to see the quarterly newsletter. Find out all about the gallery, as well as information about upcoming events organised by the Friends Committee. If you have time to spare you will be encouraged to help at functions, social events, or be a steward during some exhibitions.
 

Joining the Association of Friends of the Gallery entitles you to invitations to most of the exhibitions Private Views, concessions on admission to any of the chargeable exhibitions, a quarterly newsletter and up-to-date events information, and generally a chance to support the Gallery.

Friends are offered the opportunity to help with social events, and also to learn about the Gallery history and contents, with a view to acting as stewards or guides.

Young Friends

The adult Friends have inaugurated a new membership for young people, and will invite them to private views of exhibitions, introducing them to the artists whenever possible.

We hold a regular activity workshop on the last Saturday of every month.
